Zoe Pike

Operations Officer

Zoe has worked for The Unmentionables since late 2016 as our Operations Intern, before becoming our Operations Officer in August 2017. She is currently a final year undergraduate at the University of Leeds, studying towards a BA History (International) degree, with a focus on the medieval period, gender and religious histories. Specifically, her final year dissertation will focus on medieval Jewish women and their experiences of faith. Having recently returned from a year abroad at Leiden University, she loves travelling and exploring new cultures.

When was a time you needed assistance with something that seemed unmentionable at the time? A situation that you would not have been able to get through without tangible support?

In my first year of university I struggled with stress and anxiety to the point where I wasn't sure if university was even the right place for me. Without the support of my friends, family and university staff, I wouldn't have made it to my final year, let alone gone on a year abroad or started working for The Unmentionables!
