The Unmentionables Resource Center will be opening on January 13, 2018 in Athens, Greece with the aim of providing a safe place for refugees to receive intimate health classes and services, as well as a free “shop” where they can pick up products needed to preserve their human dignity and meet their intimate hygiene needs.
Fashion icon, designer, and philanthropist Kimora Lee Simmons generously gave some of her fabulosity on Giving Tuesday to intimate hygiene non-profit The Unmentionables. With the support of Simmons and her fans, a record breaking fundraising amount of $24,337 was raised for the group, including Simmons’ personal $12,000 donation match.

The Unmentionables launched on October 31, 2016 with the mission to provide dignity through hygiene to refugees around the world. In the short span of a year, this non-profit organization has achieved incredible success, providing 75,312 intimate hygiene products to date to displaced people in five countries. Since its inception, The Unmentionables has partnered with more than 22 international organizations, built a remote team of 30 volunteers spread across four continents, and now operates in six countries: Greece, Uganda, Kenya, Somalia, Egypt, and the USA.
As a Texas-based organization, we have watched as nature took its toll in our own backyard. Hurricane Harvey has inflicted mass flooding and devastation along the coast of our state, leaving thousands displaced. Many have been left with only the clothes on their back. As such, today we announce our expansion to Texas. With the help of people like you, we hope to continue providing dignity through hygiene to our own state, which will be recovering from this disaster for some time.
