The Unmentionables Joins Forces with ThirdLove

Austin, TX, September 25, 2018: Sexual and reproductive health non-profit The Unmentionables is thrilled to announce that it is partnering with innovative bra company ThirdLove. Through this cooperation, thousands of forcibly displaced women will have access to high-quality bras that not only provide comfort, but also protection.

The Unmentionables provides forcibly displaced individuals and communities with safe and consistent access to sexual and reproductive health education, services and products. Intimate health products are consistently underprovided in migration crises, and lack of access to bras, in particular, can draw unwanted attention to refugee women, putting them at a higher risk of experiencing sexual harassment or assault.

“It has been clear from Day 1 that supporting women and girls around the world is a lived commitment for ThirdLove, and their incredible generosity will allow us to ensure displaced women and girls’ right to human dignity is protected and upheld,” says The Unmentionables Co-founder and CEO Kaleigh Heard.

To deepen the partnership, ThirdLove’s Co-founder and CEO, Heidi Zak, has recently joined The Unmentionables’ Board of Directors. “I am thrilled to welcome Heidi to The Unmentionables’ Board of Directors and to work with a leader so deeply committed to supporting women and girls in reaching their full potential,” continues Heard.

“I admire and commend The Unmentionables for all that they’ve done for women and men around the world,” Zak says. “I’m extremely proud to be working alongside the organization’s founder  Kaleigh Heard, and am humbled to be able to help continue providing these essential necessities to vulnerable communities.”
